TAY BASS

Actor | Impact Producer

Hi, I’m Tay :) I’m always looking for work that captures the cathartic joy I felt growing up listening to my grandma tell stories. I want to laugh until my stomach hurts, grieve openly, take up space, and make space while engaging audiences in a big ol’ conscious conversation.

As an actor, my work has been seen off-broadway, national tour, regionally, on TV, indie shorts, and a few animation voiceovers. I’ve developed new works at Soho Rep, New Light Theater Project, The Tank, The Acting Company and Williamstown Theatre Festival.

My experimental doc-short The P Word was developed at the Brown Arts Institute, where I was later the inaugural Producing Fellow (‘24). As an impact producer, I develop and run campaigns for documentaries including Thank You For Thinking of Me and Meant To Be Maddie, leveraging the power of storytelling for strong social impact on the carceral injustice system and transgender youth advocacy.

When I’m not doing all that, you can catch me in the streets, JK—but sometimes I do leave my home for treats to escape existential dread.
